During the regular City Council meeting on October 26, 2021, Council voted unanimously on Action item 8D to continue the mask mandate in Vallejo. The mandate will remain in effect until circumstances regarding the contraction and transmission rates of Covid-19 in Solano County shift. At that time, Council will revisit the need for the mandate, and the item will be placed back on the Council agenda.

Regardless of vaccination status, residents, workers, and visitors must continue to wear masks (face coverings) while indoors or in enclosed public spaces in the City of Vallejo.

In recent months COVID-19 cases significantly increased in Solano County, prompting Council to take action by reinstituting a mask mandate in the City back on August 31. To read the full press release, click here.
