The City of Menifee welcomes its residents to the Grand Opening of its newest family-friendly park – Talavera – located at 27931 Calle Talavera in Menifee. The celebration will begin on Saturday, February 12 at 10 a.m.
The Grand Opening of Talavera Park will showcase and celebrate another wonderful addition to Menifee’s bountiful collection of community parks. The first 50 people to arrive to the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting will receive a free plastic bento box and a City of Menifee Swag Bag.
The City of Menifee’s Healthy Menifee and Rec N’ Trek teams will be onsite to provide fun and healthy activities, games, and other family-friendly events, including the official ribbon-cutting ceremony to kick off the festivities.
“Talavera Park will be a great addition to the City of Menifee’s expansive park system,” said Mayor Pro Tem Dean Deines. “Creating and maintaining premier outdoor destinations for Menifee families to enjoy remains a top priority for our City Council.”
Located north of McCall Boulevard and south of Ethanac Road, the 3-acre Talavera Park will provide residents with a premiere tot-lot, an accessible picnic shelter, and conveniently located restrooms. The park also includes large grassy areas, planted foliage and trees, and walking pathways – both concrete and Decomposed Granite (DG).
