City Administrator Damien R. Arrula has announced the appointment of Jennifer Lampman to serve as Director of Finance for the City of Placentia. Prior to coming to Placentia, Mrs. Lampman worked as  the Finance Director for the City of Fountain Valley and came to Placentia with over 20 years of experience in  local government.  

“On behalf of the City Council, I am excited about the appointment of Mrs. Lampman as the City’s new Finance  Director. Having a strong and experienced Director of Finance for Placentia is essential for keeping our City on  the right path and continuing the good work to move us forward financially,” said Mayor Rhonda Shader. “The  City of Placentia emphasizes transparency and prudent financial management, and I’m pleased that we found  someone who will continue the great progress we’ve made and shares the City Council’s vision of continuing  our fiscal sustainability into the future. Mrs. Lampman brings a wide variety of knowledge and experience to our  team, and I am looking forward to working with her.” 

Mrs. Lampman began her career as a Management Analyst responsible for managing the budget for the City of  Riverside Police Department and was subsequently promoted to Senior Management Analyst in the City  Manager’s Office, assisting in the management of the City’s budget. After Riverside, Mrs. Lampman went to work  for the City of Anaheim, managing grants and capital projects for the City’s Public Works Department. She then  went to work for the City of Huntington Beach, where she was promoted to Budget Manager and responsible for  all aspects of the City’s budget. Most recently, she served as the Finance Director for the City of Fountain Valley. 

“I was grateful to be selected as Finance Director for the City of Placentia, and I am excited for my new role as  a part of the City’s leadership team,” said Finance Director Jennifer Lampman. “As the City’s new Finance  Director, I am honored to be given the opportunity to continue the City’s goals of transparent financial reporting  and maintaining fiscal sustainability. Placentia has seen tremendous growth in recent years, and I look forward  to building upon that and collaborating with the team to help the City continue to grow and prosper.” 

Mrs. Lampman has a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of California, San  Diego, and a master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton. She is also a  member of the Government Finance Officers’ Association and the California Society of Municipal Finance  Officers.  

“Mrs. Lampman was thoughtfully selected as Placentia’s new Finance Director after a competitive interview  process due to her strong background in finance and proven leadership skills, her commitment to furthering the  City’s goals, and her alignment with the City’s overall mission,” said City Administrator Damien R. Arrula.  “Placentia is fortunate to welcome such a seasoned finance professional and leader who brings two decades of  municipal finance experience and a fresh, new perspective to the department. I look forward to working alongside  her and supporting her in her new role with us.”
