Recognizing outstanding financial stewardship, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded the City of American Canyon the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting on December 11, 2023. The accolade specifically acknowledges American Canyon’s annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year concluding on June 30, 2022.
“I couldn’t be more proud of our finance team for their ongoing dedication and commitment to producing quality documentation that maintains fiscal transparency and helps our community better understand our budget,” said City Manager Jason Holley. “Thank you to the GFOA team for recognizing our finance department’s hard work once again.”
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. The award represents a significant accomplishment by the City of American Canyon and its finance team.
