Earlier today, Colusa County Administration and the Department of Information Technology presented a refreshed website design and updated URL at the Board of Supervisors meeting. The update, which was completed at no additional cost to the county, aims to enhance user experience, improve communication, streamline processes, and make it easier for residents to find the resources they need.
“The website refresh was designed to enhance the County’s ability to connect with our community,” said Supervisor Daurice Kalfsbeek Smith. “Whether you’re looking for county services, county events, or resources for businesses, our website has it all. It’s a one-stop destination for everything Colusa County.”
The transition of the URL from countyofcolusa.com to countyofcolusaca.gov will be seamless to users as the previous URL will automatically forward to the new site. The transition was driven by Assembly Bill 1637 which requires local agencies to migrate public web sites and/or email addresses to a .gov domain. This update will meet all future email communication requirements with Federal/State governments using a name that is secure and has been verified to be used and owned by Colusa County.
