Mojave Water Agency has once again earned top honors in government financial reporting, receiving the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.

This prestigious recognition reflects the Agency’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and fiscal integrity. The GFOA’s award represents the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting in North America.

“Our team’s consistent dedication to producing clear, accurate, and accessible financial documents is something we take great pride in,” said Lauren Warrem, Chief Financial Officer of Mojave Water Agency. “This award is not only a reflection of the technical accuracy of our reports, but also of our efforts to build public trust through full financial disclosure.”

The Certificate of Achievement is awarded following a rigorous evaluation process conducted by an impartial panel of financial experts. Reports must meet the highest standards of the program, including a clear presentation of financial data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and all applicable legal requirements.
