The Davenport Institute for Public Engagement and Civic Leadership is excited to announce the launch of a groundbreaking two-session micro certificate program designed to empower local government professionals with essential resilience strategies. Titled “Reigniting Purpose: A Resilience Reset for Local Government Professionals,” this virtual training will be held on July 30 and August 6, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Pacific Time.
In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, local government professionals face unprecedented challenges, including persistent burnout, shifting community needs, and increasing divisiveness. These pressures often lead to a disconnect from the core values and goals that initially motivated their careers. The new micro certificate program, led by esteemed Davenport Institute trainer Dr. Kristin Meyer, aims to address these challenges by providing a comprehensive reset that reconnects participants with their personal purpose, enhances mental well-being, and equips them with tools for effective community engagement.
The program is designed to offer practical strategies for building emotional resilience, enabling professionals to navigate crises with confidence and approach their work with renewed energy and vision. Participants will gain valuable insights and skills that can be applied immediately to their daily responsibilities.
The micro certificate is priced at $275. A discount is available for agencies registering three or more participants. For those ready to transform their approach to public service and embrace a more resilient mindset, registration is now open.
