Beginning October 15, the City of La Cañada Flintridge will officially transition to Green Halo for tracking all Construction & Demolition (C&D) waste management. This shift marks a significant step forward in the City’s commitment to sustainability, improved compliance, and streamlined reporting processes for C&D projects.
All projects submitted on or after October 15 will be required to use the Green Halo platform for waste tracking and reporting. Projects that were submitted prior to this date will remain under the current tracking system and will not be migrated to the new platform.
The adoption of Green Halo is expected to enhance the user experience for contractors, developers, and residents by offering a centralized, user-friendly interface for waste diversion tracking and documentation. This change aligns with the City’s environmental goals and ensures compliance with state and local recycling mandates.

In addition, the City will host three in-person training sessions for contractors, construction professionals, and interested members of the public. These sessions are designed to provide hands-on guidance and answer any questions about using the Green Halo system. No RSVP is required.
Training Schedule – All sessions will be held at City Hall (2nd Floor, Rose Conference Room):
- Training #1 – Wednesday, October 15 | 8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
- Training #2 – Wednesday, October 15 | 1:00 p.m.– 3:00 p.m.
- Training #3 – Friday, October 17 | 8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
The City of La Cañada Flintridge strongly encourages all contractors, builders, and community members involved in construction and demolition projects to attend one of the sessions. These trainings will ensure participants are well-prepared to use Green Halo and remain in compliance with City regulations.
