The City of Hawthorne invites residents and visitors to dine local during Hawthorne Eats, the City’s first-ever restaurant week, taking place Jan. 25 through Jan. 31 . This initiative celebrates Hawthorne’s diverse culinary scene while supporting local restaurants, small businesses and community pride.
“Restaurant weeks across Southern California have demonstrated increased sales, new customer engagement and lasting visibility for participating restaurants,” said City Manager Vontray Norris. “Whether you’re a longtime foodie or looking for a fun night out, Hawthorne Eats offers something for everyone.”
Restaurants interested in participating must register by Jan. 9. Registration and additional program details are available on the Hawthorne Eats registration form.
The week will begin with a free kickoff event on Sunday, Jan. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. The kickoff celebration will feature tastings and music, offering the public an opportunity to sample local flavors and connect with participating restaurants. Restaurants are encouraged to bring samples and promotional materials. Those interested in attending may register on the VIP kickoff Eventbrite.
Throughout the week, participating Hawthorne restaurants will offer special menus and promotions, inviting diners to discover new neighborhood favorites. Hawthorne Eats will conclude with Hawthorne Street Eats, a free closing celebration taking place Saturday, January 31, from 12 to 4 p.m. along 126th Street. The closing event will feature food trucks, local vendors, live music, artisan goods and family-friendly activities. Vendor registration for Hawthorne Street Eats is available to food truck and micro-business vendors on the festival Jotform.
Additional programming during the week will include City Official Meet and Greets, with details to be announced, providing opportunities for residents to connect with local elected officials at participating restaurants.
