The City of Lynwood is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Suja Lowenthal as the City’s new city manager, effective Monday, January 12.
Dr. Lowenthal brings more than 30 years of distinguished experience in municipal leadership and public service. Her career includes service as a Long Beach City Councilmember, vice mayor, school board member and most recently as city manager of Hermosa Beach, where she led significant infrastructure improvements, maintained balanced budgets and implemented innovative recruitment and retention strategies. Recognized for her strong commitment to community engagement, operational excellence and quality-of-life initiatives, Dr. Lowenthal will work closely with City staff and residents to advance Lynwood’s priorities and ensure responsive, effective local government.
