As the California Municipal Revenue & Tax Association (CMRTA) moves into the year ahead, the Association and divisions across the state are focused on strengthening peer connections, sharing practical expertise and supporting members through timely programming and leadership transitions. Highlights from recent board discussions point to a year centered on collaboration, learning and thoughtful planning for the future.

Division 1 / Division 2: Practical Insights and Peer Exchange

Division 1 and 2 members will kick off spring programming with a March meeting in the City of Pittsburg, CA. The meeting will focus on peer-to-peer learning and timely updates, with discussions designed to share practical insights and real-world experiences relevant to revenue and tax professionals. This approach reflects CMRTA’s continued emphasis on providing members with useful, applicable perspectives they can bring back to their own agencies.

Division 3: Leadership Updates and Yearlong Engagement

Division 3 welcomes new board member Leslie Andrews, adding to the division’s leadership capacity and ongoing work. Members can expect a consistent cadence of meetings throughout the year, with gatherings planned for April, July, October and December. Programming will continue to prioritize information sharing, professional connection and discussion of emerging issues relevant to revenue and treasury professionals.

Division 4: New Leadership and Streamlined Programs

Division 4 enters the year with new leadership, welcoming Rosa Rosales as President. Upcoming meetings are planned for April, July and October, including a summer networking event at Petco Park designed to foster informal connections among members.

Looking Ahead to 2026
