The City of El Monte has been awarded a grant from the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) to support the 2026 Dodgers Dreamteam program, expanding access to youth baseball and softball opportunities for families across the community.
The grant, totaling $24,840, will help offset field maintenance and umpire fees and fund a dedicated Dodgers Dreamteam Coordinator. The program is expected to serve 180 youth players at Lambert Park, providing organized baseball and softball opportunities designed to build teamwork, leadership skills, and healthy lifestyles.
In addition to the financial award, the Dodgers Dreamteam program will provide participating youth with uniforms, equipment, coaching mentorship, training, educational resources, and community programming throughout the season.
The initiative is part of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation’s broader mission to expand youth sports access and deliver sports-based youth development programs that strengthen communities and provide critical resources to underserved youth. Registration and additional program details for the 2026 Dodgers Dreamteam season will be announced by the City of El Monte Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department in the coming weeks.
