For nearly four years, the City of El Cerrito has collaborated with Tripepi Smith to enhance its social media presence and improve digital outreach to the community. With a consistent posting schedule and an increase in engaging content, there has been noticeable growth in resident interaction with the City. Tripepi Smith has successfully transformed the City of El Cerrito’s social media platforms into a reliable source for community news, important updates, event information and more.
Tripepi Smith Principal Jennifer Vaughn spearheaded the transformation from the beginning, with project management and content production support over the years from Tripepi Smith teammates, including Senior Business Analyst Kalee Cummings, Business Analyst Abby Romano and Business Analyst Emma Catuara.

With the increase in video content, El Cerrito has seen significant growth on Facebook and Instagram, with 62.7% of the City’s total views stemming from reels on Facebook and 63.7% on Instagram. Additionally, the City reached 12,934 unique accounts on Instagram over a 90-day period and saw a significant 627.7% increase in Facebook engagement over the previous period.

Through a blend of creative multimedia storytelling and strategic organization, the collaboration between the City of El Cerrito and Tripepi Smith successfully modernized the City’s communication channels. Today, El Cerrito possesses a highly effective digital toolkit and a vibrant online presence that will serve as a regular, engaging resource for its residents well into the future.
