The SACOG Board of Directors approved funding for 24 projects to cities and counties across the region. The Preservation Grant Program focuses on investments that improve and repair pavement, help goods move throughout the region, and provide long-term economic benefits.

About the 2026 Federal Funding Cycle
The System Preservation Grant Program is part of the 2026 Federal Funding Cycle which will allocate $203 million in federal transportation funding this year. This major regional investment in the transportation system helps local communities improve streets, roads, transit access, safety, air quality, and transportation choices. SACOG works closely with local governments to advance regional priorities as detailed in the 2025 Blueprint, the region’s long-range transportation and land use plan.
