The now-infamous former Bell City Manager, Robert Rizzo, has lost his horse racing license.

After the Hollywood Park Board of Stewards charged him with conduct detrimental to horse racing – no small feat unto itself – Rizzo found himself without his horse-owner’s permit.

Huntington Beach resident and former Bell city manager Robert Rizzo, who is facing 53 counts of misappropriating public funds, had his horse-racing owner’s license suspended by the Hollywood Park board of stewards.


Stewards Kim Sawyer, Scott Chaney and Tom Ward issued the two-paragraph statement after Rizzo failed to appear at a hearing on Saturday to respond to charges of conduct detrimental to horse racing, the Daily Racing Form reported on its Website.
