CSDA kicked-off Special Districts Legislative Days (SDLD) in Sacramento on Tuesday.  The two-day event will include a host of dynamic speakers, pre-arranged office visits with attendees’ legislators, and a legislative reception with legislators, staff and local government friends.

Speakers at this year’s legislative conference include California’s Legislative Analyst Mac Taylor, Senators Mark DeSaulnier and Christine Kehoe, Assembly Members Mike Feuer, Anna Caballero and Steve Knight, California Forward Senior Fiscal Policy Advisor Fred Silva, California State Auditor Elaine Howle, California Department of Water Resources Chief Deputy Director Susan Sims, League of California Cities Executive Director Chris McKenzie and CSDA’s legislative team Ralph Heim, Kyle Packham and Iris Herrera.

SDLD 2010 will inform attendees of the latest special district issues under discussion in the State Capitol and connect local leaders with state-level decision-makers in order to build relationships and ensure that the voice of special districts is heard in Sacramento.

For those of you who haven’t registered, it is still possible to snag a spot in the legislative event.  Simply do so on-line at www.csda.net/sdld.  Your last opportunity to register will be in-person tomorrow morning at the event, located at the Sheraton Grand in Sacramento. Call CSDA at 916-442-7887 if you have any questions.
