The City of Placentia received the Placentia Chamber of Commerce’s “Employer of the Year” Award for 2022. The Placentia Chamber of Commerce hosted its 56th Annual Excellence in Placentia Gala on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Alta Vista Country Club. The event honored dedicated citizens and businesses that make Placentia a great place to live and work.
“On behalf of our City staff and management team, we are honored to be named Employer of the Year at the 2022 Excellence in Placentia Awards Gala,” said City Administrator Damien R. Arrula. “Our team members are our most valuable resource, which is why it is so important that Placentia continues to be a dynamic place to work. When our team members feel appreciated and uplifted, they provide amazing programs and services, and the whole community benefits.”
“Our City employees are critical to our success and truly are the reason that we continue to thrive as a City, so I am proud to see the City of Placentia named Employer of the Year,” said Placentia Mayor Rhonda Shader. “This recognition reflects the Council’s belief that our employees are the heart of the organization, and we could not do what we do without the support of our City staff. It is my hope that the City continues to be one of the most desirable places to work in Orange County.”
Other award categories included Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Family-Owned Business of the Year, Woman-Owned Business of the Year, Youth Volunteer of the Year, and Citizen of the Year (Male and Female).
