Bob Hall, 64, a beloved husband, father and California City leader sadly left our world on July 12, 2024, after his short battle with cancer.
Bob was known for his collaborative leadership style over the past twenty years for the cities of Huntington Beach (Assistant City Manager 2005-2013), Fountain Valley (City Manager 2013-2017), Stanton (2018) and Laguna Niguel (2019). Bob quarterbacked Fountain Valley’s Fiscal Sustainability Plan (Measure HH), which will provide the necessary funds to cover the long-term financial needs in Fountain Valley through 2037. Bob prioritized being “business friendly” and providing unparalleled levels of customer service in every city he served.
Upon retirement, he built an Executive Recruiting firm, Bob Hall and Associates, alongside his daughter Rachel. His goal was to connect and place candidates in environments that will help them be successful and accomplish the projects they set out to achieve. Together, Rachel and Bob used their innate ability to cultivate relationships across the state of California to create a recruiting firm where they could extend their reach across the state to serve the communities that were near and dear to their hearts.
Bob is survived by his wife Deborah, son Russell, 33 and daughter Rachel, 26. His legacy will live on through Bob Hall and Associates and his memory will be a guiding star for all who knew him.
In remembrance, a memorial will take place, August 9, 2024, at Marina Park Community Center in Newport Beach beginning at 2:00 PM, where we will honor Bob’s enduring impact on our communities and hearts. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Hoag Hospital Foundation, care of Fudge Family ARU.
