Tripepi Smith logoRedwood Coast Energy Authority (RCEA), Tripepi Smith’s tenth community choice aggregator (CCA) client, selected Tripepi Smith Talent Solutions (TSTS) to lead its executive director recruitment.

RCEA is an award-winning CCA located in Humboldt County. Its members include the Blue Lake Rancheria; the Yurok Tribe; the County of Humboldt; the cities of Arcata, Blue Lake, Eureka, Ferndale, Fortuna, Rio Dell and Trinidad; and the Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District. RCEA is a member of the California Community Choice Association (CalCCA), which represents the interests of California’s community choice electricity providers in the legislature and at state regulatory agencies, including the California Public Utilities Commission, California Energy Commission and California Air Resources Board.

This May, Eileen Verbeck, former deputy executive director, who joined RCEA from the City of Arcata, was appointed interim executive director following the retirement of former Executive Director Matthew Marshall. Marshall retired after 15 years of service, including 13 years as executive director. RCEA is now on the hunt for its next leader.

Director Christine Martin will lead the search, with support from Business Analyst Kylie Sun and Junior Business Analyst Hannah Wedepohl. Following development of a digital recruitment brochure, the TSTS team will advertise the position across relevant job boards and social media platforms. TSTS also plans to leverage its extensive roots in California local government to broaden reach. Through its partnerships with nine CCAs in California, 200 local government agencies and some of the largest local government associations in California (including MMANCMMASCCal CitiesCSDACSAC, etc.), TSTS has a vast network of professionals to tap into.
