Norco City Council appoints interim city manager

On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, the Norco City Council and City Manager Lori Sassoon agreed to amicably part ways.

“The Norco City Council appreciates Ms. Sassoon’s contributions during her tenure as city manager,” said Mayor Kevin Bash. “We are sincerely thankful for her dedication, hard work, and service to the Norco community.”

Ms. Sassoon managed the day-to-day administration of City operations since August 2022.

The City Council appointed Finance Director Lisette Free to serve as interim city manager while the City Council determines its long-term plan to fill the city manager position. Ms. Free joined the City of Norco in 2017 as accounting manager and was appointed as finance director in 2020.
