City of Calabasas logoWild Walnut Park in Calabasas was recently spotlighted in Landscape Architect for its expansive renovation, led by JMD Landscape Architecture. Wild Walnut Park officially reopened on August 24, 2024.

“We are honored to see Wild Walnut Park recognized in Landscape Architect,” said Calabasas Mayor Peter Kraut. “This project reflects our city’s commitment to creating vibrant, accessible public spaces. The positive community impact of this project will be felt for years to come.”

This project was reimagined to better serve the Calabasas community, offering clean, safe and inclusive recreational spaces designed with residents’ needs in mind.

New features include accessible children’s play areas, fenced dog zones and revamped picnic and restroom facilities. These updates provide added comfort and safety, making Wild Walnut Park a welcoming and modern environment for all.
