The City of Ojai has named Kristy Rivera as its new recreation manager after a comprehensive recruitment effort led by TS Talent Solutions (TSTS).
Rivera brings more than a decade of experience in public sector recreation and municipal operations. Over the past eight years with the City of Ojai, she has served in a variety of roles, including five years providing administrative support in the Finance Department, two years as an administrative assistant and public information officer in the City Manager’s Office, and most recently, nine months as Interim Recreation Manager, leading the department through a period of growth by launching new youth and senior programs, enhancing seasonal events and building partnerships with local organizations. A lifelong Ojai resident, Rivera brings a personal understanding of the city’s traditions, culture and values to her leadership of the Recreation Department.

TSTS Executive Recruiter Christine Martin, with support from Senior Recruitment Coordinator Kylie Sun and Assistant Recruitment Coordinator Julia Gale, partnered with the City to design a targeted recruitment strategy, which included a custom recruitment brochure showcasing Ojai’s culture, priorities and vision for the position. This resource, paired with strategic outreach, drew a diverse and qualified group of applicants, ultimately leading to Rivera’s selection.
