The City of Menifee is proud to announce the appointment of Chris Karrer as the new chief of police. With an impressive career in law enforcement spanning over 20 years and a commitment to community-oriented policing, Karrer is set to lead the department into a new era of safety and community engagement. Karrer, a U.S. Marine veteran, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure in local law enforcement, where he successfully managed a range of divisions, including patrol, traffic, investigations, operations and support services. Karrer has served the Menifee Police Department since its inception in July 2020 as a captain until he was named interim chief. His appointment reflects the City’s determination to prioritize transparency, accountability and the highest standards of professionalism within its police force.
“Chief Karrer brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to our community’s safety and well-being,” said City Manager Armando G. Villa. “I have every confidence that Karrer will serve our community with integrity and continue Menifee Police Department’s successful trajectory well into the future.”
