The City of Palmdale announces the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Juniper Grove Apartments on Thursday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This exciting project will bring 101 new rental units to the Palmdale community.
“We are excited to introduce this new apartment complex, marking a major step in our City’s commitment to affordable housing,” stated Mayor Austin Bishop. “This development offers a diverse range of living spaces for residents at various income levels.”
Located on the southeast corner of Division Street and Avenue R, the project offers 49 one-bedrooms, 25 two-bedrooms, 25 three-bedrooms and two manager’s units. All 49 one-bedroom units are reserved for low-income individuals, those facing mental health challenges or those who have previously experienced homelessness. The remaining 24 two-bedroom units and 25 three-bedroom units will be allocated for families and individuals. The total square footage of all residential space is approximately 109,408 square feet.
“Juniper Grove Apartments epitomizes Palmdale’s dedication to inclusive community development,” said Mayor Pro Tem Richard J. Loa. With a diverse array of living spaces, we’re not just building homes; we’re fostering belonging and opportunity for all Palmdale residents.”
Each apartment is thoughtfully designed with individual heating and cooling controls, private patios or balconies and distinct living areas. On-site parking includes 27 carport spaces, 126 standard spaces and eight uncovered handicap spots. In addition to the residential units, the development boasts a variety of amenities such as an onsite laundry facility, additional storage space, barbecues, a playground, an enclosed dog park and an onsite property management office.
This project was made possible through a partnership with Meta Housing and funded by Community Development Block Grants, HOME Loans and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit.
