This project was made possible through funding from Senate Bill 81, which aims to reduce reliance on state-run youth correctional facilities and promote local, community-based solutions. Under SB 81, significant funds have been distributed to counties for constructing or enhancing juvenile facilities. These efforts align with the state’s broader goals of fostering trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate programming for juveniles.
