LYNWOOD, CA – The City of Lynwood marked the grand opening of a new family apartment complex with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 29. This event, covered by KTLA 5 News, brought together City staff, community members and residents to celebrate Lynwood’s new chapter in affordable housing.

The ceremony was opened by Billie Martinez, followed by additional remarks from Dr. Michael Lizarraga, City of Lynwood Mayor Rita Soto and Assemblymember Jose Luis Solache, Jr. After the program, attendees enjoyed a reception featuring live music, tacos and pan dulce. Guided group tours were also offered to showcase the new apartment units.

“Lynwood is committed to providing affordable housing for our hard-working residents,” said Mayor Rita Soto. “By addressing the pressing need for affordable housing, we are investing in the strength and stability of our City for generations to come. This development is a symbol of the Lynwood’s dedication to cultivating a safe and inclusive community.”

The modern, four-story complex offers 66 thoughtfully designed units, 47 one-bedroom, 18 two-bedroom and one three-bedroom apartment.
