The city of Gustine (Merced County) has hired a former Escalon City Manager and previous police chief as its interim city manager.
Greg Greeson will fill the roll after former City Manager Margaret Silveira announced she was leaving for the same position in Lakeport.
With the interim hiring, the city still expects to search for a fulltime fill for the position. Greeson, 55, plans to apply for that job.
