City of Calabasas logoCalabasas has promoted Kristy Buxkemper to city clerk and appointed Jay Dinkins as deputy public works director. Both have begun their new roles and are actively contributing to the City’s daily operations.

Buxkemper has been promoted after serving as the City’s interim city clerk since April. Her advancement reflects her strong commitment to public service, professionalism and valuable contributions to the organization. Before joining the City of Calabasas, she served as city clerk for the cities of Camarillo, Port Hueneme and deputy city clerk for Paso Robles, gaining extensive experience in municipal operations, election oversight and public records management. Her expertise and dedication will continue to enhance the City’s transparency, accountability and service to the community.

Dinkins joins the City with more than 24 years of experience in traffic engineering, capital project delivery and transportation planning. Most recently, he worked for the City of Santa Monica, where he advanced numerous infrastructure and mobility initiatives. His expertise in traffic operations, capital improvement program development, land development review and interdepartmental coordination will be instrumental in guiding public works projects and transportation improvements in Calabasas.
