The City of Palmdale is bringing residents and public safety together for its annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Poncitlán Square, located at 38315 9th St. East. This family-friendly event is the perfect place for residents and first responders to stand united against crime to protect their City.
“Partnership between the community and public safety is always something this City strives for and encourages,” said Mayor Eric Ohlsen. “National Night Out remains one of the most memorable events not just for its dynamic atmosphere, but also the healthy relationship it demonstrates between our amazing residents and the incredible individuals protecting our home every day.”
The event will be a night of fun with features including giveaways, games and food from numerous vendors available for purchase. Don’t miss out on one of the most memorable community events of the year.
Attendees will have the opportunity to view public safety displays from first responders and interact with local law enforcement officers. Partners from multiple organizations serving the Antelope Valley, like the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and the California Highway Patrol, will share information about their programs with the community and equip residents with the knowledge they need to help keep their community safe.
“National Night Out proves that public safety is a team effort,” said Mayor Pro Tem Austin Bishop. “When neighbors and first responders connect, celebrate and learn together, we break down barriers and build a safer, stronger community.”
