Following an extensive nationwide search, City Manager David Gassaway has named Willie “Will” Daniels as Director of the Housing Services Department. Daniels brings 17 years of experience in housing administration, real estate finance and community development to the role.
A local Fairfield resident, Daniels most recently served as Director of Operations for the Berkeley Housing Authority. His executive career spans both public and private sectors, including leadership roles at McCormack Baron Management, the John Stewart Company and the San Francisco Housing Authority, where he directed the transition of over 6,800 public housing units under the Federal Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program.
“Will brings a wide array of housing experience and a hands-on approach to Fairfield,” said City Manager David Gassaway. “His expertise makes him a great fit for the department, and he will be a wonderful addition to our senior leadership team as we work to serve our residents.”

He officially joined the City on Sept. 21.
